Who we are
Symphonia is operated by Ancient Designs LLC ("we", "us"). We provide parish administration software to Orthodox Christian parishes ("Parish Users") and to their parishioners ("End Users").
What we collect
Parish data
When a parish uses Symphonia, that parish provides us with sacramental records, household contact information, financial pledges and gifts, calendar entries, bulletins, and other operational records. The Parish remains the sole owner of this data. We are a data processor; the Parish is the data controller.
Account data
For each user of Symphonia, we store name, email address, role, hashed credentials, and audit logs of significant actions.
Usage data
We collect server logs of HTTP requests for security, debugging, and abuse prevention. These are retained for 90 days.
What we don't do
- We don't sell parish data to anyone, ever.
- We don't share parish data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We don't train AI models on parish data.
- We don't use parish data to market other products.
Subprocessors
We use a small set of trusted infrastructure providers to operate Symphonia: Cloudflare (CDN + DNS + R2 object storage), Postmark (transactional email), Stripe (payment processing), Telnyx (SMS), and our hosting provider for application servers and databases. A current list is maintained at /subprocessors.
Your rights
Parishioners may request a copy of their data, request corrections, or request deletion by contacting their parish administrator. Parishes may request a full data export or full deletion at any time by emailing us at privacy@ancientdesign.org.
