Trapeza
A liturgical kitchen for monastic communities.
Daily meal planning around the fasting calendar, brotherhood / sisterhood roster, guest housing, festival logistics, and inventory keyed to the typikon. Built for the monastic kitchen — and the parish hall on a feast day.
In design
Trapeza is the next Ancient Design product. We are talking with monastery cellarers, archondaris, and parish festival chairs to shape what it should cover.
If you run a monastic kitchen, manage a parish hall, or organize Greek/Slavic festival logistics, your input shapes what we build.
Help us design Trapeza →What we're exploring
- Daily menu planner respecting the full fasting cycle (xerophagy, wine + oil, fish, full fast)
- Brotherhood / sisterhood roster — diakonia rotation through the year
- Guest housing — pilgrim arrivals, retreats, dormitory occupancy
- Inventory keyed to liturgical events — vigils, festal meals, Bright Week, Great Lent
- Festival logistics — booth scheduling, food prep, ticket sales for parish festivals
- Hospitality records — who has stayed when, what was served, what worked
